Web build, Indie Game Clinic playtest and future updates

This is our first devlog post here on Itch. If you're interested in finding out more about the steps we've already taken on our journey, you can find them on Steam (Sync Tactics on Steam) and Reddit (SyncTactics).

The last month has been packed with things to do in order to address all the feedback received. We're still working on some of these improvements, but it's time for a quick update on our progress!

We are currently focusing on the web build, and our goal is to enable co-op directly through the web build when that feature is included early next year.

Another interesting and unexpected event was that Joe Baxter-Webb from the Indie Game Clinic recently played Sync Tactics during a live stream:

This has been very helpful because it gave us useful hints on how to improve the tutorial and where to focus to make the first playthrough less confusing for the players. Our current web build is the same one that was played in the livestream, but we plan to update it significantly within the next few weeks.

In conclusion, here's a brief recap of our current work in progress:

- We're adding responsive hints to the tutorial. If we detect that the player does not understand one of the game's principles, a quick explanation will pop up to help.

- We're adding a new system that resets the positions of all robots moving after your currently selected one when planning an action. This will help you understand the order of the robots and provide a more realistic view of the battlefield.

- We're creating a new shader that will be applied to the robots when they plan actions. This will better show that the movement is planned but not yet executed.

- Finally, we're updating the main menu to make it more appealing and easier to navigate. Here's a sneak peek of the work in progress:
